Halco Giant Trembler
No bib required

This is a lure named for the absence of a feature. Generally fish shaped and quite heavy. This lures hold the water like no other, and are designed for speed and operation in all conditions.

As a mother ship special they are hard to go by. Will always stay in the water and do their job.

To add attraction, some manufacturers place ball bearings inside the lures. This makes the lure rattle while moving through the water.

These lures are generally fish shaped. That shape, plus having the towing point positioned on the top of the lure, result in a deep diving action. These lures can run fast, and get down where the fish are.

You also need to ensure the lure is made from good components. Strong connections and hooks, though you can could change these yourself.

There is a large market and huge following for these lures. Especially in areas like the Coral Reefs.

My preference remains with the Halco Trembler. These lures have caught too many fish to be ignored.

The lures are sturdy, and will stand up to the routine punishment of toothy critters. They come in a wide range of effective colours and are well priced. The price is probably due to them being manufactured here in Australia, another reason to use them.

I have seen bigger bibless lures out there catching fish. But I have not seen the value is these more expensive lures.

These is a theory that bigger bibless lures will catch the bigger fish. I hope this is true, but sadly have not seen any lure doing it. Research is required in this area. I have chosen the River2Sea bibless lures for this research.

One again Australian made, and without the price tag that comes with the other large bibless on the market.
